some mp3s from 2001

On January 11, 2001, John Munson gathered some friends at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis for a special live show. Joined on various songs by Adam Levy, Mason Jennings, Jake Slichter, George McKelvey, Edgar Olivera, Dan Wilson, and Matt Wilson, John sang a wide variety of classic songs, some obscure and some famous. He ranged from acappella gospel (“Love Like a River”) to a lush, full-on treatment of John Lennon’s “#9 Dream,” from classic soul songs (“I’ll Be Around”) to little-known indie rock (Jack Logan’s “Town Crier”). Here are three of the songs:

• “Bring It On Home to Me,” by Sam Cooke, accompanied by Mason Jennings and Edgar Olivera
• “Pay It Back,” by Elvis Costello, accompanied by Mason Jennings, George McKelvey, and Jake Slichter
• “Melt Away,” by Brian Wilson, accompanied by Mason Jennings, Adam Levy, George McKelvey, Jake Slichter, Matt Wilson, and Dan Wilson

Re: some mp3s from 2001

I used to have these MP3's on my old machine before the hard drive crashed. I would love to get a hold of these tunes again.  If anyone has them please re-post!

I have been looking for these mp3s on old external hard drives, burned CDs, and pen drives for years.  Then I thought... maybe just the page is dead and the links to the mp3s still work... so I went to the wayback machine... and lo and behold...
Don't know how long they will last...
